Tredegar House, in the heart of Hay-on-Wye, is perfect as a base to explore the town’s many book stores and other independent shops, for walking, hiking and canoeing which are all on your doorstep. This timber frame building housed a pub for 200 years. You can just about hear the ancient pub banter as you sit surrounded by oak beams and watch through the windows as the townspeople pass by.
